Testing Process Overview
The Qest4 software contains digitally-encoded information relating to a large number of health-related factors. These range across anatomy and physiology, body chemistry, medicines, nutrients and pathogens, mental and emotional factors, metabolic processes, and more. During a test, a set of these ‘signatures’, chosen by the practitioner, are output in rapid succession by the Qest4 hardware as electromagnetic signals. Using a simple and safe low voltage circuit formed by holding two brass cylinders, the response of the body to those signals is recorded. The response being measured is small changes in the electrical resistance of the skin. This information is relayed back to the software. A report is generated on the computer of any responses that are outside specific limits.
Is The QEST4 A Diagnostic Device?
Let’s clarify the meaning of “diagnosis.” In modern medicine, a diagnosis involves categorizing a set of symptoms to determine whether they best fit disease A, B, or C — allowing a medical provider to select a treatment, which may differ significantly between conditions and carry serious consequences if misapplied.
Qest4 testing does not provide a medical diagnosis. Rather, it captures a highly individualized pattern of energetic responses to signal inputs. This process can help a holistic practitioner “treat the person, not the disease,” offering insight into energetic stressors or imbalances that may contribute to symptoms. While this information may be useful in guiding a traditional diagnosis, only licensed and trained professionals are qualified to make that determination.
Do test results always match my symptoms?
Not always — and that’s expected. While some results may clearly align with what you’re feeling, others reflect deeper stress patterns or imbalances that aren’t yet causing obvious symptoms. Bioenergetic testing isn’t just about confirming what you already know — it’s designed to reveal what your body is ready to address, even if it’s not the most obvious issue. This layered approach often leads to more meaningful and lasting healing as we uncover root causes over time.
What happens if a symptom doesn’t show up in my test results?
That’s completely normal, but very rare. Bioenergetic testing isn’t a symptom-matching tool — it’s designed to highlight energetic stressors that may be driving or underlying your symptoms. Sometimes the issue causing your discomfort is a few layers deeper, and the test reflects what your body is currently able and ready to process. As layers clear, future testing may reveal more direct connections.
How is Qest4 different from traditional lab tests?
Unlike bloodwork, which measures physical markers of disease, Qest4 evaluates energetic imbalances that may be present before symptoms appear or conditions are diagnosable. It offers a functional, whole-body view of stress patterns—giving insight into what your body may be struggling to regulate or repair, even when labs appear “normal.”Many chronic conditions begin long before they show up on traditional lab tests, and Qest4 helps illuminate those early imbalances so we can support the body proactively.
